The price was good for an entire HVAC and Condenser replacement. However, there was an ODD jet of water from a joint they installed. The "supervisor" attempted to claim it was from an older joint. Uh, no. I have pictures and trajectories that prove otherwise. However, they were willing to change out the fittings, the ones THEY installed. They have not leaked since. Thanks. 😐 I was told that I could get some sort of rebate from Energy and/or kansas gas for getting a whole replacement. I called evergy and was told that Polestar needed to start the process. I have contacted "Marcy" a few times, but have not heard back. They are not about family or trust. They will try to make what they can, then leave you out to dry. Do not hire this company.
We have a large boiler system on our home and it has a large water pump The pump failed at the least opportune time for us. This repair required urgent attention and polestar responded to my 7:45 AM call and coordinated an appointment to diagnose our situation. They ordered parts and followed up the next day to install the new pump. Of course it was winter and extremely cold outside so the repair work could not wait. The pump functioned properly and the work was competently completed. Polestar is very savvy with boilers and they knew what work had to be completed. At no fault of their own. There ended up being a manufacturers defect with the pump. Polestar responded immediately and coordinated appointments to remedy the situation. Josh D was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain how the system operates and red flags or issues he saw. I ended up needing a brand new furnace, no hard sell from any of the Polestar folks. Kayla S was able to come out at the last minute for pricing and measurements. Took the time to explain my options and the benefits of them. Again, no hard selling. Answered all my questions and gave me a lot of piece of mind. Will be using them in the future! Domonic & Manny were my install technicians who took the time to think of the whole air system as they were installing (adding a stabilizer to my tilting A/C unit above the furnace) , they did their best to ensure the new vents/ductwork weren’t too obtrusive, and then gave me plenty of time for questions during the final w
Your service person was great. Explained everything very well and was extremely professional. Had you out to look at flush valves on toilets and install a faucet and replace a frost free faucet. Your cost on replacing flush valves is extremely high. You wanted $474 to replace a $15 part. I can replace the entire toilet cheaper. I didn’t have you do those and I would have had 5 to replace. You charged $600+ to replace a faucet which took about 30 min so basically $1200 per hour. Your charged $800+ to replace the frost free which took probably an hour but still $800 per hour. I do not begrudge anyone from earning a living but wow.
I called Polestar after discovering water damage from what turned out to be a pipe that had fallen off my humidifier. They got someone out quickly, and I’m so glad they sent Pat. He diagnosed the problem fast, fixed it efficiently, and then went above and beyond by taking care of a few additional things that weren’t even part of the original call. Pat is genuinely one of the best techs I’ve had from any company — professional, thorough, and the kind of person who clearly takes pride in his work. He’s a real asset to Polestar. Highly recommend asking for him by name.
