Portland Renovations completed the full remodel of our circa-1870 home over the course of two years—a project made more complex by the fact that we had a tenant on the third floor and lived in the house ourselves throughout the work. Bob and his team were dedicated, adaptable when plans changed, and took real pride in their craft. As an architect and former interior designer, my husband and I came with plenty of opinions, and Bob not only listened thoughtfully to our feedback but also brought his own expertise to achieve the best possible outcome. He was committed to seeing the project through, even taking on additional work we added along the way. We couldn’t be happier with how our home turned out and look forward to working with Bob and his team again in the future.

Portland Renovations handled our East Bayside renovation and addition, starting with the creation of a thoughtful and beautiful design, through a complex city permitting process and managing the entire building operation. We couldn’t have asked for a better design/build firm. Not only does Bob Van Wert, Portland Renovations’ owner, oversee and drive that process with efficiency and skill, but he communicates with his clients clearly and consistently. We couldn’t be happier with the process and the end product.
