Poughkeepsie Public Works Department

This review is for Terry. I called DPW about the City worker leaving a pile of snow in my driveway. I initially reached Kenny who was not helpful at all. I asked for the Supervisor’s phone number which was Terry. Terry told me that he would be right there to see what he could do to help. He arrived in 5 minutes. He not only shoveled the large mound of snow blocking my driveway, he shoveled the remaining snow left at the end of my driveway! Terry is really a kind sole who cares about people. I really appreciated this act of kindness😊😊

These people honestly are a joke. They boast about having a brand new street cleaner. Yet in a year they cleaned union street once. And that's only because I called and complained. They still haven't cleaned Perry street. But every single day you will see the truck on either main street or market street. They haven't touched the side streets along union either. And that's suppose to be a historic district and it's the dirtiest.

The City of Poughkeepsie Public Works Department should be commended for the hard work they do to make our city a better place to live. Recently, they was a problem of glass on a nearby street and it was taken care of right away. Awesome job!
