Poughkeepsie Station Parking Garage

I want to acknowledge the hardworking staff who maintain the parking garage and parking areas at the Poughkeepsie train station. The entire area is always very clean and well taken care of, and it really shows how much pride the workers put into their job. They also make the space feel safe. I see them regularly patrolling the area, and it gives a lot of peace of mind especially when taking long trips or coming back late. Their presence and attention to detail make a big difference. Thank you so much for keeping the parking areas clean, safe, and well maintained. Your hard work is truly appreciated!

Not very ADA accessible (for getting on and off trains, transferring trains, even getting to platform) because there is no in-person assistance whatsoever besides maybe the ticket person. Bathrooms and entrances ARE all ADA accessible though and the whole station including bathrooms are kept decently clean.The double sided Parking lot as well as entrances and exits can be somewhat confusing, as well as where exactly you want to be picked up and seen by taxis or other cars.

While convenient, the parking operator runs a signage scam. Ticketing cars in unmarked "permit" areas and then saying there's nothing they can do, even with visual proof. All after they posted signs saying the garage was full, while there were at least 10 visible empty spaces in "metered" area.

Only for the reason where there is no coffee. Otherwise, it is good station. The ticket booth attendant was helpful.
