I had reached out to. 6 landscape companies to get 7 yards of native stone delivered for a driveway. No one responded until on a Monday I reached out to Melville and received a response in 20 minutes and delivery was made Tuesday morning. The driver I has was right on time and was super cognizant of the property and took great care to drop the load exactly in the spot I was hoping to, which wasn’t easy for him. So great to have a company that is both responsive and provides great service. Highly recommend.

Excellent product. I ordered 20 yards 50/50 mix not a scrap of plastic in the pile. The driver was very careful and polite. Delivered quickly. Texting verses phone call is preferred by this owner but I had very quick and thoughtful response.

We ordered mulch to our home which resides on a relatively steep hill. The driver accidentally hit part of our retaining wall with his truck. He was extremely apologetic and kind. We let the owner know this happened because we wouldn’t have been able to fix it ourselves. He got back to us right away, referred us to a great company to fix the piece of the wall within days, and paid for the cost of repairs. The mulch they delivered was great too and very affordable. We are very happy with how they did business and would definitely refer this company to anyone in the future.

Very unhappy with our experience with Melville Construction. The owner refuses to discuss anything by phone -- even when a customer is having an issue. The first truckload we got for our driveway was not as described: it was almost all sand with a couple rocks over 6". The next layer they delivered was described as loam tailings and good for driveways. IT IS ALMOST ALL ROOTS. Well, I'm sorry, but I just busted my butt taking roots OUT of my driveway. NO THANKS. Also, we were told to expect delivery today in the AM, but they couldn't be bothered to show up or contact us until after 1PM. This company has the WORST customer experience. I feel mislead. Please don't make the same mistake we did.

Dishonest.Ripped off. Ordered loam from this company. I was asked to pay by check. 3 days later I was told my check bounced. Mortified because I had plenty of money in the bank and did not understand why it would bounce I simply apologized and wrote another check. He lied, he cashed both checks and tells me it is my problem not his.... terrible. Will never use or recommend to anyone ever.
