Richmond Irrigation & Outdoor Lighting

We’ve been using Richmond Irrigation for years for our sprinklers and have always had great service. Today they installed a French drain for us, and I couldn’t be happier. They arrived right on time, did great work, and even took the decorative rocks that they removed and used them in another spot in the yard where our dog had dig some holes. Terrific experience!

I’ve been using Richmond Irrigation for a while now and have always been happy with their service. They didn’t install our system, that was done (poorly) by another company, but I’ve used them to replace bad heads as necessary, and for winterizing. For service calls the techs have always been friendly, competent, and quick, and they’ve always come within the scheduled time window. I most recently called them yesterday — Andrew was here today and quickly got my system back up and running. Kudos to them for the good work, and I highly recommend them.

We hired Richmond Irrigation in 2021 after discovering our irrigation pipes were installed incorrectly by another company before we purchased our home. We discovered the problem when we had the yard aerated and leaks sprung up in several places. Discovered the pipes were dug too shallow. Richmond Irrigation replace all the pipes, we assumed.Fast forward to this fall’s aeration. For some reason two of the 4 zones stopped working. Our current irrigation company came out and said the power line had been cut. When they dug out the line it was discovered the pipe and power line had never been redone when the other pipes were dug. From the initial phone call to Richmond Irrigation to the last check-up after installation, the responsiveness and thoroughness of the team was unmatched from all other companies I had worked with before. I was provided a real sketch of the design from the first onsite visit by David which was really nice to have in hand. No other service gave me that. Its good to see the idea and design when you are investing in a system like this. My yard was marked within that week, and work started the next. Just had a great experience with Zachary service technician. The controller for my irrigation system was no longer working. I had gotten a quote from Richmond Irrigation to replace the controller. The person who sent me the quote did not understand that I had an older system. I do not have any kind of outdoor electrical outlet that would be required to install the updated system. To do that would require an electrician to install an outdoor outlet.My house is almost 100 years old with a complicated electrical system. The controller needed to be replaced with a similar one that is battery operated. Zachary tried to troubleshoot the present system without success.
