River City Carpet One Floor & Home

I wouldn't recommend River City Carpet One in Red Wing. Our lamimated flooring shows every footprint even when wearing shoes with rubber soles. It looks horrible and cheap. They sell an inferior product and do not stand behind their supposed Beautiful guarantee. Jason has an arrogant attitude, and dismisses any complaints the customer has. He has an excuse for the low-quality products he sells. Initially, we were going to have Carpet One install laminate in the entire lower floor, but after we experienced how the first installation turned out, we went with a highly regarded store from out of the area. We've had no issues with them and regret having Carpet One into our home. Never again will we use River City Carpet One.

Good sales pitch but the end result falls short. They charge for extra flooring and cutting trim on all door jams even though some of them didn't need trimming. They didn't show up on the days that we were told and ran out of material. Their mistakes are now being used against us as they tell me they have been back multiple times to correct installment issues. They wouldn't finish the job without full payment and fell just short of accusing me of stealing. The owner has refused to sell me product to fix my lower step which has now fallen apart after 2 months. Thanks for the $10,500 headache!

We had a minor sewage backup that we caught early fortunatley so we needed to move FAST. The basement and stairs carpets were on our project list but they were pretty low on that list. After this, they moved right to the top. The folks in the store were exceptional and everyone tagged in if someone who had helped me before wasn't around. Abundant samples, good questions, quick quotes, calling suppliers for inventory checks, etc. We cobbled together a plan in 48 hours and within a week the carpet was out and the flooring was in. Installers were super professional, friendly, conscientious of our ever curious dog who we did NOT want down there and even unhooked the screen door so it wasn't slamming 500 times a day. River City Flooring did a great job installing new flooring on the main level of my home - including vinyl plank, carpet in the bedrooms and vinyl in the bathrooms. I really appreciated the personal help and communication throughout the process. When little issues came up, they were taken care of as quickly as possible. The work crews were respectful and worked hard. Yes, I would recommend them.

From start to finish our experience was outstanding with River City. Me and my wife went in to get ideas and pricing for carpet/vinyl plank for our home and we were greeted with the most friendly staff. We had a budget in mind and not once did they try to push us into going over it and helped us stick with it as much as possible. We had to push our project out a few weeks due to an illness and they worked with us to reschedule and understood. As far as the installation went we were blown away at the knowledge and expertise that Ryan brought into transforming our home. He was always communicating with us and he worked very hard to make sure we were happy and we were more than happy with our results. We look forward on doing future projects with them! Thank you
