Ronald Reagan Bldg South Parking

If you’re planning to drive to National Museum of African American History and Culture or if you’re planning to visit the museums and attractions in this area. I highly suggest that you park at the Ronald Reagan Bldg South Parking Garage, it’s the best place to park if you want to spend time visiting different places in this area. This parking garage is located at 239 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20004.

A very convenient option if you would like to park close to major tourist attractions in downtown Washington, DC. On our most recent visit, it took us nearly 1.5 hours to exit the parking facility due to the high volume of vehicles. However, this was likely understandable given the large demonstration taking place in the area at the time.

The Val-let staff was kind however even tho I didn’t even park I just made a U Turn -because change of plans- they charged me for an hour cost saying “its the system and its not our problem”, 10 minutes isn’t enough of a time to U-turn with a van from the bottom floor of parking and come back to exit! It took 10min and 25 seconds because of that 25 seconds she charged me 14 dollars Not because of the money I’m upset at the unfairness of the way they work! P.S: if you have a Van thats 6.8” it can still hit some of the labels that has 7” on them, they are not precise

Is it close to Nat Monuments and Nat Mall…..yes. Here’s the catch, it’s a federal building and before you park they inspect your car, not the worst part, when you leave you have to enter building and that’s another set of security. Line was out the door in the cold and wind. Waited for 20 min. because of their process. I would not park there again. We had two young kids and it was miserable for everyone.

Prices are great for all day visit to the city. That is all it has for it. Parking was a nightmare. Everything is color coded. Instructions are not clear. We are out of town people/ First time visitors so we go out a door we want to be able to backtrack. When we were done for the day and heading back through the door we went out of a bigger group was ahead of us. Probably another 10 people arrived shortly after us, when a female security guard start yelling at all of us to "go to other doors. Stop crowding this check point! These poor guards." No one knew where these other doors were. There was no signs or maps I saw. We followed the group to the entrance at 13 1/2 st. Didn't even get in when the security people are kicking everyone out. Want only 10 at a time and for there to be line outs
