Lock smith services aren’t cheap but I had them rekey a new front door lock and install it for a price that seemed reasonable. The technician showed up on time after calling me in advance. He was pleasant and knew what he was doing. All was done in less than an hour. I’d use them again.

Very responsive, came out to quote/work same day, needed a house rekeyed. Originally quoted $69/lock + $200 labor + $50 service fee. I said that feels very high and he lowered to $600 total which still felt very high. I ultimately canceled the appointment, but they still demanded $100. He then left without putting my door handles back on. For reference- new hardware at Home Depot would have cost roughly $180 out the door, and a separate locksmith quoted me $229 for the same rekeying job. I’m sure they do great work, but it appears to be at a high premium.

Locked my keys in the trunk of my 2007 VW EOS while at work. I called and a male answered and while the expectation was simplicity, the male was not a friendly tone. Then I asked for an estimate not a quote He said it all depends. I said just on average, what would an estimate look like. He hung up. The locksmith they sent out gave me a 5 minute out courtesy call. He was kind and got my doors unlocked. It was $75 to unlock and $20 service fee. So the total was $95. In case anyone needed a roundabout.
