Fabulous company. I highly recommend Ruane Contracting. We have used Ruane Contracting for three separate jobs: our long slate front walkway; our front patio which had been sinking; and extensive work to our leaking chimney. I cannot say enough great things about Chris and his company. Not only are they highly responsible and dependable but they are total artisans. The work Chris and his crew did on our walkway was a masterpiece. He reused slate that was still good and interworked in other slates: all in a beautiful pattern. Tons of neighbors have commented how wonderful the work looks. And the work Chris did on our front patio was also exceptional. The whole patio was sinking and he jacked everything up and redid the whole thing. Again, his work was exemplary and he did a beautiful job. F

I cannot recommend Chris highly enough. It is very difficult to find contractors with his knowledge of masonry and attention to detail these days. If you want to have something handcrafted out of actual stone, you will not be disappointed. His knowledge of local stone and the quarries to source it is unparalleled.
