We used them for a third time because they had done a good job in the past. However, this time they ruined about 7K worth of furniture and only compensated us $550. So, I would definitely read the sketchy paperwork the actual movers have you sign before they leave on the last day of the move. Even if you are exhausted from moving for 2 to 3 days! Read the documents before you deal with THESE PEOPLE and plan on making a damage claim at the end!

I have moved a lot and some moves were good and others awful. Sandhills Moving was excellent from the original phone call to changing the dates and to the movers. The movers were wonderful. Patient and with a sense of humor. The power cord for the recliner was missing but they were able to load it. And no one yelled or swore at me! When the furniture was being delivered some didn’t fit but they were patient. They set up my bed. Rolled carpeted down and set up lights. (Tho we did need to find light bulbs.). My experience with Sandhills Moving and Storage, an agent of Wheaton/Bekins, has been deeply disappointing. While the initial stages of the move were handled professionally, the aftermath revealed serious issues. The local agent has provided no meaningful support in addressing ongoing concerns. Multiple boxes—clearly marked with our name—were lost during transit, and several items arrived damaged despite having been properly packed. Most concerning was the complete lack of accountability from customer service. Attempts to resolve the matter through the company’s claims process (Wheaton/Bekins), were met with resistance. We have used Sandhills Moving and Storage 5 times in the past three months, during our home renovation. Jose and staff were prompt, professional & friendly. Our concerns were discussed and many options were presented to us by Jose who visited our home before our home project began .When calling for service, Lauren was always very friendly and accomodating. We had to reschedule a few times, and she always patient and worked closely with us to coordinate our times with their availability. All of the staff, Jose, Lauren, Brian, Steve, Henry and many more, was friendly, fun and courteous while handling our furniture and numerous household items.
