Sears Appliance Repair

UPDATED. Allowed sufficient time for repair to take effect and cool refrigerator and it still is not working correctly. Threw away about $100 worth of perishables and there’s zero compensation for loss despite trusting the technician’s claim that the appliance was repaired. Would not recommend. Also given no choice for scheduling. Just received a text that said would arrive on a specific day. Had to cut vacation a day short to be certain that we were home to meet the repairman. Very dissatisfied.

After 3 appointments being cancelled the technician came at 6:30pm. My appointment time was 8am-5 pm. He was apologetic and did a great job diagnosing the problem. That day I had to pay for the parts and they were shipped to my house. I have had my actual repair cancelled by Sears in the late afternoon 4 times. Later I found out they had never assign a repairman to me. This is after a total of 45 texts from Sears telling me to be home 8-5 for 8 total separate days. They are to be here again today. We will see. RUN, DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM SEARS HOME SERVICES!!! Unless you want to give up 8 days waiting on no call no shows. UPDATE- they canceled on me again today. Told me to reschedule for 8-20. This all started 7-26.

The technician arrived promptly and listened to the details of our problem with the washer. After checking and determining the problem, He had the part needed for the washer in his truck. As the process of repair began, and during the repair questions were asked, and the technician courteously answered the questions without any frustrations. Following the repair, the technician did testing on the machine And tested the washer to make sure it was in good working order. His courtesy to us, and the explanations of what he was doing, were very much appreciated.
