Sears Appliance Repair

Service technician came out looked at oven and i mean looked did not touch it and told me part i put in was "probably faulty" and he would replace it again for $600 and change. Still had to pay service call of $161 for him doing absolutely nothing. I'd give zero stars if possible.

Frank is an exceptionally talented personable service technician. Sears should recognize such an excellent employee since they are very hard to find and retain.

This was expensive for service when no repair could be done because the parts are not available! Technician had all information--model, serial, photo, verbal description. He knew that the appliance was obsolete and parts no longer being manufactured before he came. Should have communicated that to me as a heads up. I was charged for repair when no repair was done. Really poor business practice.

John came and replaced a part in the freezer of my refrigerator. He was not engaging in any conversation about what was to be repaired. I asked him if he was advised or knew what the problem was with the freezer, he said, and I paraphrase, "No, I don't, but then I'm the one that's got to fix it." He didn't offer any information about the freezer, i.e, like if it acts up again, etc. I offered to tell him what went wrong with the freezer and he was totally disinterested. Never asked me what the problem had been. All in all, not a good experience with this repair man. I did not pay for this visit or the part as I am still within the extended 5-year warranty.

The technician had to deliver bad news. It was actually great to work with him, and he gave me some very good advice.
