Very disappointed with Select Heating and Air of Creedmoor. I’ve had a maintenance contract with this company for almost 10 years and have even purchased two brand new HVAC units from them. During a recent preventative maintenance appointment, I discovered my main HVAC was covered in cobwebs, leaves and pine needles after the tech said the job was completed. When I asked about cleaning — which is clearly stated in my contract — the tech told me they only do that in the spring. The contract also says motors and bearings are greased each visit, but the tech said that’s only done once a unit starts making noise. This made me dig into my maintenance plan even further and I learned that my mini split hasn’t been serviced in years, even though I’ve been charged annually. I’ve stopped by th

AVOID AVOID AVOID!! 1) Nasty lady answers the phone and can't keep a conversation on point. 2) Repair idiot shows up, pulls off wires, leaves w/o reconnecting then says he never pulled the wires off the motor. Nasty lady agrees. 3) Supervisor says "we don't work on other's install" yet they tried to work on them 4) A GREAT SERVICE MAN NAMED TROY (from Garner) came out & fixed it in 30 minutes. Justin was very detailed in explaining the maintenance processes before and after completion of servicing the heating/AC units. Was a nice and well mannered gentleman and very articulate in his explanation of his planned activities of the job. He's a keeper for Select. Gary Wheeler

They waste your money while guessing at issues. They have one tech that is decent the rest are absolutely in the wrong industry. The just threw parts at my system and made me pay for their wrong guesses the whole time. The techs and owners are never on the same page. I was telling the owner what the tech told me(because it didn't sound right) and he started accusing me of arguing with him even though I was just asking him why the tech contradicted what they told me previously(and what the owner was currently saying). They're also the highest prices around. I paid to have a heat exchanger replaced, only to have them mess up the install(leaving parts off/shields off) and the brand new one cracked in a couple months. Heat pump stopped working. Justin gave us his best guess, called the office for a second opinion, he found out our unit was still under warranty, then communicated some options. After getting a detailed explanation of what could be done we settled on having the unit fixed under warranty. Justin got us the appropriate paperwork, filled it out for us, and detailed the claim process in less than fifteen minutes. The warranty was/is a nightmare. It's been three months and the company servicing the warranty paperwork is so behind that they themselves finally relented and green lit the fix. Not Select Heating and Airs fault.
