In 2007, I hired Serrano Fence (then based in Freeport, NY) on recommendation of a neighbor. The job was to replace a rotted retaining wall and fence. The fence was a straight run along level ground, about 60 feet. Prior to work commencing, I insisted posts be held in place with cement, below the frost line - at least 36" - preferably 42" to prevent heaving and leaning. Serrano agreed. Even so, I had to remind his workers during the job to adhere to this requirement. This fence should have lasted at least 20 years. About 5-7 years ago it began to lean. Then one section fully leaned over onto a nearby shed - around 2019/2020. Today, a different company is replacing the fence. I recently needed to have a new fence installed on my property so I called Serrano Fence to get an estimate. They came the next day, measured the yard and gave me a price. Three days later they installed the fence. The supervisor and the workers were all very professional. They worked in a timely manner and were very careful of the plants that were already starting to bloom. They cleaned everything up, hauled it away and did a terrific job.
