SH Custom Cabinets

SH has made door and drawer fronts for me for several projects. Always done perfectly with excellent results. A wonderful small shop that’s a real old school cabinet maker!

I'm a reasonable person.....I have been trying to work with Steve, the owner of CH, for a long time now. I contracted with CH to make replacement doors for a small rental kitchen. I gave him the old doors as a template. The location of the hinge pockets in the old doors was critical, so the new door hinge pockets and doors would correctly mount onto the existing cabinet hinges. When Steve delivered the doors, the hinge pockets were offset and not in the same location as the original doors. I asked him how this happened. He indicated his machine could not be adjusted enough to locate the new pockets in the new door, as required. To make things worse, he had thrown away the old doors, so the location templates were destroyed. He insisted that the hinges could be adjusted to account fo

This guy I hope is no longer doing any kind of building of any kind. Our cabinets are trashed. We had to get an actual Profesional to fix them. Drawer bottoms are weak paints trashed and drawers are not secured properly. It's a half passed job for sure. Do not do any business with steven heaverlo. If that's his real name. Shady guy.

I've spent 20 hrs reinforcing a Wall mount vanity, it literally came apart when screwed to the wall. None of the joints had been glued, only tacked. Now I noticed one of the soft close rails is 3/4" lower than the opposite rail, this makes the drawer face unlevel. Also the center 3/4 divider is wider than both ends, looks like a bow when viewed from above. I've added 6 horizontal 1x2's for support under vanity top and two vertical 1x4's on the ends for additional support. Next time I guess I may as well build it myself. This thing is an engineering nightmare. I also added a 2x2 ledger for the vanity to sit on because I have no faith in it's construction.

They were very professional and friendly. I was unsure of what I wanted, but Steven did a great job of showing me different styles and helped me decide my dream kitchen. Every morning I go into my beautiful kitchen and fall in love with it all over again. Big thanks to CH Cabinets!
