Soil and Garden Depot

Have had several loads of sand, gravel and soil delivered. Last year I would have said 5 stars. Then everything went south. They delivered the wrong gravel, fortunately my landscaper stopped him from dumping the entire eight yards. Since I paid in advance I just wanted to pay what I owed him for wrong gravel. Which we believe to be 2 yards 2.5 tops. Owner claims 3 yards. I called next day to get refund on balance of my prepaid $632. They claim that they refunded me the total and charged me for three yards. Even had bookkeeper call to say my refund would be on July statement. Guess what, no refund. I turned the entire mess over to Chase Visa. Still waiting for refund. Radical change from 2024 business practice to this year. Call around their are better businesses to work with.

Scammers!! Do not buy from this place. My wife was trying to do me a favor and get fill dirt and they charged her cash for $10.50 per 5 gallon bucket. When I called they told me they charge $43 a cubic yard which is equal to roughly 40, 5 gallon buckets.

Ordered a yard of gravel. Delivery fee was high compared to what other places charge, but we were in a bind and needed it delivered it the same day so we paid it. When it was delivered the yard was half of what it should have be. What a ripoff! Called a sent pictures to manager. Crickets.. would not recommend.

I have used them in the past and will never use them again. I live directly behind them. We have 75% rock driveways in our subdivision. Their pricing is 30-50% higher than their competitors plus they charge a delivery fee on top of that. When I mentioned to the manager that I live 30 yards from them and asked him to waive the deliver fee, his response was, you must order a minimum of 6 yards, oh well. I mentioned to him that they should come up with a special price for our subdivision located directly behind them. He said that they stay busy and do not need to offer discounts. Oh Well, I have posted information on our neighborhood facebook page about how rude the manager was and guess what, our neighborhood will not be using your company for their soil and gravel needs. Soil and Garden Depot is a pleasure to work with. Their rock, dirt, and sand are always top quality and consistently graded. They are very busy but always seem to fit you in to the schedule and deliver the material you need to keep the job going. I have been in Mandeville for 25 years and have used Soil and Garden for so long that I cant remember the first time that I called them.
