Solid State Construction

Solid State Construction performed a complete residing of our home this winter, as well as installing new windows. Anyone living north of Boston knows that the winter weather of 2026 has been extremely challenging, but Solid State rose to that challenge. The 'boots on the ground' workers showed up in some harsh conditions, and the work they did was consistently stellar. They were a wonderful crew to have working on our home. The project manager, Chris, dealt with any issues that arose calmly, effectively, and professionally. I believe that Solid State went above and beyond in their work on our home, and gave extremely good value for the price. I not only recommend them without any reservations....I heartily endorse them.

Solid State actually did both my and my sons home with 2 different crews. We went with the Hardie board clapboards and trim. While certainly not "inexpensive", this is a true case of VALUE. The product is top notch and we will never have to to another thing to the exterior of my home and my sons home. Two different crews worked through VERY COLD days (and SNOWY) and got the jobs done. Both crews were AWESOME. The quality of the product was matched by the quality of the installation work. Some important things to note: - They worked fast and effectively, the job of complete stripping of the cedar shakes and trim was done in a few days. Replaced pine siding with Hardie board and replaced a garage window. We contacted Solid State in mid-October when we discovered our siding needed replacement. By the end of the month, we had a signed contract. The materials (and dumpster and porta-potty) arrived 2 weeks later. The crew worked through freezing temperatures and multiple snow storms. A change order for the replacement of rotted sheathing was handled smoothly. Once the project was underway, communication from the project manager dwindled, but he was always available by text or phone. Cleanup when the project was complete was immediate and very thorough. Solid State just wrapped up completion on an extensive job for our two family home which included a new roof, removal of four skylights and a massive two story deck. The first face of Solid State that we had the pleasure of meeting with was Adam, who came out for the initial assessment and planning of our project. Adam was very personable, knowledgeable and extremely easy to work with. He promptly returned with an estimate and a detailed presentation about the company and their products so that we were well informed and confident before we made the decision to hire Solid State. We needed to have the siding on our house replaced after finding out that the original contractor hadn’t put any weatherproofing under the siding and we developed some leaks into the house. I asked around in the town Facebook group and one of the recommendations was Solid State Construction. We met with Jarrod, the sales rep, and he was great about explaining the whole process, going over our options, and addressing our concerns.
