Southside Works Open Hearth Garage

I made a monthly subscription back in August. Terrible experience. They said it’s a first come first serve garage, but this wasn’t the case. The first 4-floors are reserved, so you have to park on the 5th floor and up. What makes it terrible is that the elevators are broken indefinitely. So it’s a hike up and down the stairs. The customer service is disastrous, good luck getting someone on the phone who can assist.

The only reason it is getting two stars is because the parking deck itself was nice. It was clean and had good lighting at night. But I was charged when we left. And now I they are saying I wasn't charged and have an outstanding bill. I don't currently have my debit card because it was hacked and this is my only card. Now I have no way of paying because they don't include any other way to pay cashless. I have reached out the the email they offer for help and they have not been helpful at all. They just keep saying the same thing over and over again which is not helpful.

BOTH of the elevators in this garage have been broken for MONTHS with no signage indicating as such upon entry or on most of the floors, leaving you waiting forever for an elevator that will never come. Public parking is only available above the 4th floor which is an accessibility nightmare with no working elevators. Also, the rates are constantly fluctuating from the posted pricing (always more expensive.) I live in the area and my guests usually use this garage when they visit. Nobody has ever been charged the posted hourly rate, it’s always a gamble and you’re not even made aware of what you’ll pay as it just automatically charges your card when you pull out of the garage.

Elevators don’t work— We stayed over night and got charged $15.99 ($10 for parking, $5 in taxes, & $1 service fee)

Ridiculous interface to pay. Public parking only above 4th floor and nonfunctioning elevator. Avoid.
