The Home Depot

Customer service sent me to the help yourself make a key station. It was a terrible experience. On top of the bad experience the machine wanted to charge an extra $3.00 to brush the key off and it commented that this step was needed to ensure the key works properly. This step has been included in making keys for the 50 plus years i have made keys, now at the Home Depot in Caldwell it is an option you have to pay extra for. RIP OFF. I found out later they have the old station in the back of store where you can still get the personal service. Customer Service should have given me the option. Therefore today I give the new Home Depot in Caldwell a 1 star.

First time my wife and I have had the chance to visit this Home Depot store location. It was a very refreshing and pleasant experience. Shon in electrical was extremely helpful and polite helping us choose a number of updated and efficient lightbulbs that we needed to have to replace our old ones. He was patient, knowledgeable and explained everything to us thoroughly. He took his time to make sure we chose correct bulbs for all our home light fixtures. We also had a great experience with Jacob, the Assistant Manager, as we were beginning to head towards the checkout area. He was very outgoing and friendly and wanted to make sure we had been helped and treated well in the store. This store is so nice compared to karcher. I havent had to go to karcher for anything because this location has had all I needed and I was skeptical because I think its smaller. Bradley and Jacob are solid and represent the brand well, and I didnt catch the name of all the employees but they are very helpful and happy at this location. Shopping here reminds me of shopping at home depot with my dad in the 2000s. Awesome location and employees, it has easily become my primary home depot. 🤘

I love that you opened this HD just 11 minutes from home, whether I take 84 or the back roads. I just moved from Maryland to Caldwell in mid Oct, 2025. Maryland Home Depot's are nearly 100% self service. In Idaho, I find most businesses shout out a greeting as you walk thru the door (which you do here. I like that!) Also here, countless associates ask if they can help me find something, and many will walk me right to the aisle. (Unheard of in Maryland!) Today, I made the trip just to get a pack of washers to aid in the installation of a ceiling fan! After so many visits in the last 2 weeks improving my house, I've made a friend in the checkout area. Gotta love it! Easy to build or remodel a home at this place. Whether you order it from the pro desk, or you get it off the shelf; they have it. Employees can be short, but it is not the employees fault. That responsibility lands on the profit over people......people. Stop getting mad at employees because they are hard to find. They have to deal with cruddy people every day because of this. If the employee could hire more people , I guarantee you a hundred percent of them would. Just be happy with the fact that you can walk into a place and get what you want. Things like this are privelages; not rights. Your money is being spent; yes, but please practice patience. We all have bad days and good days. Am I right? Anyhow, thank you all for serving our community. We thank you.
