The Home Depot

I recently visited The Home Depot in Conyers for some home-improvement errands, and overall it was a solid experience. The store is reasonably easy to navigate: wide aisles, decent layout, and for the most part things are where you expect them to be. It feels like a dependable place when you need tools, materials, or supplies for a project. What I especially appreciated was the service. On my visit, the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful — ready to answer questions and point me to what I needed. Even though the store can get busy, things moved at a decent pace and I didn’t feel ignored or lost in the crowd. It checks the box for convenience, too. By far the worst Home Depot I visit. The layout is horrible, one tiny door for the contractor area. I work as a Handyman and visit a Home Depot 10+ times per week. If I can avoid the one in Conyers I do it. When I have to visit the Conyers location I know I will be waiting in line to checkout, even if I am the only one in line the cashier will be off talking to someone else. Carts will litter the parking lots every time because they dont seem to ever retrieve them from the lot. If I need paint while working in Conyers I just go to Covington HD, or I go to Sherwin Williams. Avoid this place at all costs.

Wow ! The older gentleman with the long white beard Named Ray took awesome care of me . Showed me around the store, listen to my project ideas, and went above and beyond to help see my vision through. Home Depot was built off people like Ray. They have fallen far from grace in general. People like Ray, willing to help the next man at any cost to himself. That's what we need more of in life. Thank you Ray.

On 01/16/2026 I walked in the store and immediately I was greeted by the lady at the Customer Service counter (my apologies, did not get her name) but she was amazing from the time I walked in to the time I left. As I walked past her counter, I am trying to figure out which isle i needed to go to get my items, when a man (Mr. James) ask if "you needed assistance), I did not believe he was speaking to me but HE WAS! Shocked to say the least. I informed him what I needed and he took me right to the location. I told him to just point and I will find it and he refused and walked me to the isle, lol. (#Shocking). The I asked where another item could be and I again asked to point because it was not his location, HE REFUSED AGAIN and walked me to the item I needed. This occurred three times.

I had a great experience at Home Depot in Conyers, thanks to Hendrick. he demonstrated outstanding professionalism throughout my visit and was extremely patient while helping me make the best decisions. Hendrick took the time to thoroughly explain my best options in repairing something i explained to him and then helped me pick out the materials and cut it to spec. I even returned the next day and he helped me again, his assistance allowed me to seemlessly complete a project at home as if i was a professional handyman. Im really not but his assistance and advice made everything simple. I was never made to feel rushed. Hendrick in lumber is a wonderful employee, I would have conveyed it to his manger but think they were gone for the day.
