Our experience with The Lumber Shed has been outstanding from our initial contact with Ron, their Sales Consultant, to the owner, Ryan. Ryan's roots are from his "hands on experience" as an artesian wood worker. He has a large team of seasoned craftsmen working for him and he still works in that capacity as well. We were struggling to find a shop that could build a large custom wood fireplace mantle. We searched all of Michigan. Thank goodness, after many calls, we found The Lumber Shed. Ron is amazing! He called us within minutes of leaving a message. We quickly learned through the process that Ron has a great sense of urgency and his follow up is amazing. No hardball sales pitch, he truly wants to make sure that his customers get what they need and want. Our mantel was certainly not a

Ron from the Lumbershed went above and beyond in assisting, delivering and communicating. The quality and affordability of the white oak and cedar I received was unprecedented. I anticipate steering all of my clientele this direction and will be returning for personal use as well. Thank you guys

Terrible customer service, insane prices, and poor craftsmanship. Dropped off some slabs to be flattened for a custom bench for a client. They said it would be a couple days. Two weeks later I call , and they say they’ll call back to tell me if it’s done when the guy talks to someone. Never called back. Called a few days later and it was done. I got the slabs back and they were chipped and had burnished lines from the machines, AND one wasn’t flat. What blows my mind is that they sent that terrible work out the door like it’s a normal thing. Also, everyone there seems like they’re upset they have to do their job.

Could not be happier with the custom wood flooring from them. Quarter and rift sawn white oak. Absolutely beautiful high quality. Fits together great. The team was super responsive and went above and beyond to deliver what we wanted. In the end it exceeded our expectations. Very reasonably priced-- especially considering the quality.

I’ve been in a few times for different projects and the customer service has been amazing every time! The staff is knowledgeable but honest when they aren’t sure and do their best to find out. They also have a good selection of woods and sizes dispersed through a few different sheds so it hasn’t been a cramped shopping experience at all, which is great. I will continue shopping here for the foreseeable future!
