The Plaza Parking Garage

This is a solid place to park downtown. The garage in a good place for some events nearby and Lake Eola is a short walk away. Lots of bars nearby if you're in to that. The grade of the ramps feels steeper than what you would expect from a typical parking garage, kinda fun though. I'm not sure I would park here with a large vehicle though, the turns and parking spots feel tight even for a Corrola. The clearance height is 6' 7" or around 2m. Lighting and signage is good when driving. Signage for returing to the garage could be better. The layout is one way with some additional loops for more parking spaces. If you plan on parking here for an event, consider scouting it out beforehand, it can be quite maze-like. At the time of writing, if you stay for less than 15 minutes, it's free. And

3.5 stars I was going to a Yelp event on DTO and they suggested two spots for parking, the Plaza one was really close to Solitas so I went there. It has been a good 8 years since I've been down here and used this parking and with my new SUV, I went in and out very slowly to avoid scratching up my poor baby. The entry, driving areas and exit walls are tight and the black stains of previous autos which left their paint on there is scary to see. Since it was a weekday I was amazed and pleased that my 3 hour stay was all of $5 versus the $15 other places were wanting. Some of the parking spots were too small for a SUV so take lots of care where you put yours.

Bought a spot on spothero. Comes with a QR code to scan in. They don't tell you that you HAVE to go thriugh lane 1 to enter. There was someone ne ahead of us having problems so we went to lane 2. The QR scanner was down. So lane 3. No scanner at all. My gf gets out and goes to the attendant to show him the QR code. Dude yells at her that we have to back up or take a ticket. First off, I know you have the ability to scan the code and lift the gate. Second off, even if you don't have that ability, be nice. Yelled rudely at a woman for no reason. Last time we park there

We prepaid for event parking but accidentally entered through the wrong lane. No problem! The helpful staff made sure were able to get out easily after the Orlandy City soccer match. True story.
