The Sliding Door Company Seattle *Appointments Recommended*

We ordered two closet doors in May and they were installed beautifully on Sept. 27. We love the final product. The folks in the store were great and were very helpful in selecting the product. The installers were really nice and responsive. I 100% would have provided a five star review except that it took several weeks longer than estimated and the California-based customer service did not communicate well.

After a long wait per the contract, the doors were installed. They look great. However, the installers destroyed the baseboard and didn't leave the pieces so we could repair it, and the doors were either installed or manufactured incorrectly so there is a 1/4" to 1" inch gap between the sliders so the doors never close. I contacted them immediately. A month and a half ago, they said they would resolve the issue. Nothing happened despite several emails saying that they would reach out and follow up. I had to follow up multiple times after 1-2 weeks of no response to my emails. They eventually sent a repair person, but the issue is not resolved. I would advise using a different company who installs and manufactures the product properly, and who provides effective customer service. Update:

TLDR Pros: look good, relatively timely installation Cons: don’t close/stay closed, don’t functions at all as promised, poor customer service. After months of going back and forth trying to verify details regarding sound reduction, and adding a header to make the doors we wanted feasible, we place an order for doors that we thought would allow us to have a functional closed office space/guest room. It took about 4 months to produce and install, which was just a bit later than promised but not unexpected. The friendly installers came in early December and installed the doors in one day. I want to concur with the recent remarks that I read about the Sliding Door company. I had my sliding door install in Aug. 2018. I had entered into a contract with them in May. While they have an office in Seattle, you will primarily deal with the company located in another state. It was kind of interesting getting the installation date set, I had to call to several numbers and it took longer than they slated. I was happy with my door in many ways. It looks great in that space. But after some months of regular use, what I notice is that the door on the frosted end holds smudges and marks. On the other end it it is like regular glass. At Instatation they give you a cloth and their special glass cleaner to clean the glass but it does not take these marks off. These are finger mark
