Thompson installed my HVAC many years ago. I was a happy, satisfied customer, until my recent experience. My system stopped working and Thompson sent out a tech. He said I needed a new thermostat, which he installed. Problem 1. I was charged $169.50 for the service call (which was okay) plus $157.50 for a simple, non-programmable thermostat. I found the exact same thermostat for sale elsewhere for $42. Problem 2. After the tech left, I noticed smudges and scratches on the thermostat. He installed a used thermostat! (I guess that is why it didn’t come with a box or owners manual.) Problem 3. The thermostat did not work properly. James is always friendly and very helpful. He Saved us money by pointing out that a part was under warranty. That is always appreciated! He is also good about letting us know when he will be here and is own time. Also Very appreciated. H
