Tim Spaulding Custom Carpentry

My wife and I initially hired Tim to help us finish the spare room above our garage, which involved installing trim along the floors and around the doors and windows, building cabinets into the walls of the dormers, and adding shiplap to an accent wall on the far side of the room. When he came to quote the project, Tim presented himself as very knowledgeable and reasonable, and was extremely helpful in talking through our various options and how they may impact cost. After we had hired him, he was quick to get started and very flexible in working around our schedules, and once he was finished, we were so happy with the quality of his work that we immediately hired him for a second job building us a bench and table for our kitchen breakfast nook. My husband and I hired Tim to completely remove and rebuild our interior winding staircase in our 1890s home. We had a lot of hesitation about doing it because we did not want it to look "new" but like it had been part of the house for a long time. Tim came highly recommended by other contractors whom we had worked with previously. We felt confident in Tim's skills after meeting with him. We found him to be an incredibly talented craftsman, far beyond just a "carpenter". We are THRILLED with the work he did, he met and exceeded all of our expectations. He is reliable and follows thru, we also were out of town while he did the project and felt thoroughly comfortable with him in our home. We would highly recommend him for any project and plan to hire him again!

I echo all the superlatives about Tim- he is not just a contractor or a carpenter- he is conscientious highly skilled craftsman. We hired him to build a custom staircase to and a room in our loft, and a closet in a bedroom of our summer home. He was a little indecisive at first in arriving at a price, but once we agreed, everything from that point forward was absolute beautiful work. We had worked out the scope of work and some of the broader details, but a lot of the actual detail was left up to Tim as we were not onsite. I can honestly say that I cańt think of anything I would change. He is also very conservation minded in reusing and stretching materials. I cannot recommend Tim enough.

Tim is a highly skilled, experienced and detail-oriented carpenter. It was my desire to be involved in the design; we ended up collaborating, working together, planning and designing the project. Tim did a great job on construction. He is open and honest in his communications and follows through on commitments. He does high quality work. I will continue to recommend Tim to friends.

I would highly recommend Tim Spaulding as the carpenter extraordinaire! When Tim sketched out a picture of my spiritual hermitage, I could not believe it! He had drew exactly what I had hoped for, except I could not quite describe it myself. But the sketch was just the beginning! Every time I called Tim he called me back. Every day he and his helpers were on time. He used only quality materials and did exceedingly quality work. He whistled and sang while he worked. He tended to my hermitage like a mother to her child. When all was finished, I was so thrilled with his work, his finished product and friendly attitude. If I have Another carpenter need, Tim is the one I will call. Thank you Tim!
