I'm fairly new to this area and was having an AC issue, so I took a chance on TKC. I couldn't be happier with their service! I sent a message through their website around 5am this morning, and got a message back just after they opened at 8am asking if today between 11-1 worked for me. Jason arrived right around 11am and did a fantastic job for us. It turned out it was a thermostat issue (I had a Nest which is apparently known to have problems) so after he left, I bought the new thermostat he recommended. I did have to call back after I installed it because it still wasn't working (some settings weren't configured correctly...totally my fault). This is the second time we have used TKC Heating and Air Conditioning. Our oil furnace suddenly stopped working. When we called TKC they arrived within the hour. They told us we needed a new HVAC system. We decided to go with a heat pump system, and 2 days later they installed it. Everyone was friendly and professional, taking time to explain how the new system and thermostat worked. We highly recommend them for any HVAC work you may need.

Our upstairs HVAC unit failed. Home warranty company sent their contractor out and determined that the unit was not repairable and needed to be replaced. Other companies estimate was a single line item - replace upstairs HVAC. No other explanation or details. Home warranty denied the claim. We contacted TKC and they came to the same conclusion, replacement was the only option. However, Mike was very thorough in his explanation of why, and what was required to bring the system current. I felt their price was very reasonable compared to the other company out of Richmond. They offered an extended warranty at no additional cost.
