Union Station Car Park

[Warning!] If you are driving a private car here for the first time, you might miss the entrance and end up circling around three times like I did. The signage is very poorly designed and unclear, which makes it easy to get confused; the signs for rental cars or buses are much more visible. I park here everyday for work. After my work shift i would pay at the machine for getting in my car. Once at the exit the gates would check my license plate, confirm that I paid and the gates would open. Today the gates would not open so I called for help. The attendant asked for my receipt. I told him that it was in the trash because I never needed it to exit before today. He said I would have to pay again or go to the trash. I told him that he could check my plate and he refused. I asked him to speak with a manager and he said he was the manager. I asked him a second time to check my plate. Again he refused and said I needed the receipt. We left our truck for 48 hours while we traveled, everything was fine, no problem, we kept our ticket with us and paid on arrival $48. the only thing is that I felt that the parking lot is somewhat narrow, if you have a truck you may have to drive more carefully in some spaces to avoid damage to your vehicle

My car was broken into September 17th, 2024 at 6:52 am while I was traveling for work. No one did anything to prevent this from. My alarm was going off and security never came. After a truck was stolen out of their garage in 2022 they promised to upgrade security cameras this has obviously not happened. They knew exactly what to do and where to be. They know the garage does not have proper security so they target vehicles left overnight. Do not park here!

Parking rates arent bad for DC. But getting in and out of the garage is the most confusing thing ever! Be sure to pay close attention to the signs and arrows!
