Customer service is still alive. It was a simple straightforward experience from walking into their showroom to having a high quality installation. Walt Whitman fences is a first class experience. Walter was super helpful and we went from shopping to installation in a week.

We recently used Walt Whitman Fence Co. to replace a rotted fence. Bill, Walt and Hank were extremely helpful in discussing and improving the design we had in mind. They staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend using this company. We are so happy with our results of a sturdy gate and fence and hardware.

Do NOT use this company. They are no longer a "neighborly" company. They are constantly the most expensive company. Get everything they promise you in writing and pay with a credit card just in case. Had a small problem they blew up into a large one. I will not use or recommend walt whitman again. Office manager must be costing this business a ton of money. Sales guy shows up, promises x and y. Spoke with Bill (office manager) who promises more. Day of install, magically everything they promise they now want to charge for or not do. Bill put up the biggest fight, refused to call me back (when he promised if) and they only made things partially right after I told him I had a video of the sales guy promising us everything They never actually finished what they promised. The most professional company we have ever dealt with. From our initial meeting with Bill, to the installation by Edwin and Gabriel it was a joy. The installers answered all questions courteously and simply. They did not do anything where there was a doubt of what we wanted without asking. The job they did putting the fence around and over tree trunks was remarkable. The entire job was perfect. I thank them for performing the way a longtime professional company should. I will recommend them to anyone who ask for a fence company. Simply the best.

If you live on Long Island and you need a fence, Walt Whitman Fence is the place to go. Excellent customer service, price, quality workmanship and installation.
