Water Department

Besides providing awful tasting, hard, over chlorinated water,we were away for a few months and cut the water off to our house in our basement for safety reasons but still received a monthly bill for over $40!!!??? When I called it inquire why we received a bill without having used a drop of water they said they charge a monthly minimum regardless of how much water is used. That's unacceptable! And today our neighborhood is completely without water. I can't imagine how long they are going to take to fix it. I wont hold my breath.

Our bill was due 12 days ago and they shut off our water today with zero notice. No letter, no email, no call, no knock on the door. We honestly just forgot to pay it. We called them up, asked them to reconnect, suddenly the bill is $50 more than what’s showing on our statement with no explanation as to why and we are being told on top of that we have to pay an additional $50 reconnect fee. Fine, whatever, we need water. We were told there was 2 other customers ahead of us and then the tech would be here. That was 6 hours ago. It’s now 11 pm, still no water. With young kids this is just insane. Terrible company. Avoid living where dandridge water is the utility company at all costs.

State law requires good faith efforts before deactivation of any utilities, yet they have cut my water off while I was home and made no attempt to even tell me. It’s so complicating to pay your bill there it’s by touch tone phone only, the electronic bill pay doesn’t work on there website and I think they want it that way, and they want the extra $50 to turn your utilities back on, keep in mind lots of ppl. Have security cameras as I do, before you try to say you made ( good faith efforts ) either knocking on the door or a note on the door!! Is what good faith means under the state law which they never did for me. And yes they are rude unless they know you personally.

This place has terrible customer service! The people working there are not very nice and should not be in a job of people relations if they are not good at that. There is a reason the google reviews are all terrible. It says something about the people working there. You will notice when you call, especially with the women there, they are immediately condescending and rude, ready to start trouble with you. I think I've called there about once a year for questions about my bill. I rarely call and they are pretty terrible. The water bill is suspiciously expensive for living in such a rural area and the bill is difficult to understand the way they lay it out.
