West Penn completed a staircase painting and spindle installation project for us this year. Thoroughly pleased with the work. Part of the project involved staining our existing stair treads to match flooring, and their work was a near perfect match. Great crew, clearly experienced professionals. Would absolutely recommend this company.

We had a very negative, unprofessional experience with West Penn Painting - so much so that we had to file a complaint with the BBB - here is the text of the complaint -- Signed a contract with West Penn Painting (owner Tom McKee) to refinish stairs - a check for $1,280 was given to Mr. McKee as a deposit. Work was to begin in October 2020. From October 5 thru November 4 we tried to contact Mr. McKee seven times - never received a reply. On November 14 we were told by a third party that worked with Mr. McKee that (1) Mr. McKee was no longer interested in doing the work and (2) Mr. McKee would return our deposit within a week. On January 4, 2021 an e-mail was sent to Mr. McKee - again requesting our deposit be returned. As of January 21, 2021 - the deposit has not been returned. After
