Window Installation by The Home Depot

The process of ordering/purchasing a storm door and the customer service provided by Home Depot staff at the Brentwood/Rhode Island Ave location was exceptional! However, the contracted installation staff that location uses was horrible! First, the installers came without all supplies to install the door (i.e., wood, etc.) so we had to postpone installation. Second visit, the installer drove by our home (I watched him because I had taken off work both days and waited for them), but he called me to tell me because another worker was parked in my yard, he left, even though we offered to move the other worker's vehicle. So, we called Home Depot's millwork department to try to get a different installer to come out so that we could beat the freezing temperatures and projected snow forecast, but

Great installation. Tech was on time, completed the installation quickly, and was very professional. The only thing that could have been improved is the extensive wait time for the installation date. Otherwise, very pleased with the installation of my new basement door. :-)!

I had an excellent experience When I wanted an exterior door to my home replaced. I had done some online research, but there was an appointment with an advisor which was done virtually and was extremely helpful as I learned the number of things that prevented me from making a mistake that I just gone to the nearest Home Depot and purchased what I wanted. I was made aware of several options, including adding a storm door and the possibility of choosing different locks. There is no high-pressure and trying to upsell me at all. I was then set up with an installation team, again invaluable, as it became obvious to me that it was necessary to do work on the frame and that I had no idea how to really assess the frame or accomplish what was needed. I had 2 doors installed. Not satisfied with the service. My back door “slams” shut and its full glass. Very difficult getting a response from Home Depot about my situation( No returned phone calls or emails). What’s even worse Home Depot makes you pay for the whole installation door everything before they come and install it so basically I done pay for something before the work was even done and it’s messed up. It’s hard to get somebody to come in correct their mistakes..
