I initially contacted Winter Park Garage Door Repair to fix my garage door and spoke with the owner, who was polite at first. He scheduled someone to come out and give me a quote. I was told the door needed to be replaced. After consulting with my mom, who was quoted $2,300, we were later told it would cost an additional $800 for windows. My mom requested a detailed, line-by-line breakdown to understand the extra cost, even though the total price had already been agreed upon. The owner’s response was extremely unprofessional, he became disrespectful, refused to provide the breakdown, and even said he would charge her more “when she comes back.” The whole experience felt childish and unprofessional, which was disappointing given how polite he seemed at the start. I wouldn’t recommend this

I decided to give Winter Park Garage Door Repair a try since I live in the area and like to support local businesses, plus all the 5-star reviews (which I will address below.) Unfortunately, it is probably the last time I will call this company. I was given a two-hour window, 1-3 pm, for the tech to arrive, so I made sure I was home. However, instead of just showing up when promised, the tech chose to call ahead from his cell phone, an out-of-state number, “to make sure someone was home.” I saw an out of state call come in, and reasonably assumed it was one of the dozen or more spam calls I get every day, so as usual I let it go to voicemail, assuming the caller would identify himself and leave a message if it was legit. Instead, he just hung up, then called again a few more times,
