Woodhouse Painting and Restorations

I have been in the restoration trade for 30+ years working with many companies I have had my share of less then par craftsman . Many years back while restoring a 1792 home in livingston ny we researched many companies and was referred to Woodhouse . Woodhouse Painting now does all of our interior as well exterior painting , they are well versed in all the new products as well as the classics. Robert and his crew are vary professional we have never been disappointed they are neat, prompt and respectful. I would highly recommend this company for all of your painting , refinishing needs.

Robert Bates was great. It rained constantly since I hired him to paint my exterior--but he was here for every bit of sunshine and got the job done nice and quickly anyway. He also made sure to ask if I was happy with his progress along the way. (And he was wonderfully tolerant of my constantly yipping dogs.) I recommend Rob and Woodhouse Painting, it was a great job, well done.

My husband and I hired Robert bates to paint the exterior of our home in Rhinebeck in March 2022. Although he says on google that he does not require deposits, he cashed a $5,500 deposit that he required from us in March 2022. Robert never showed up to do the job. We had some back and forth from him in regards to the weather, and then some personal issues he was dealing with. We have tried to be patient and understanding but at this point have not heard from Robert in months. We have asked repeatedly that he please do the job we paid him for or give us our deposit back and he has not done either. He seemed like a nice guy who knows a lot about painting so I’m not sure what happened. I wish we had gone with a painting company more trustworthy who didn’t run off with our money.

Robert did a great job on painting my parents home. Living room, dining room, stairs, hallway, repair of old plaster walls and ceilings. My parents are very pleased with the job. Very professional and timeline. I highly recommend Robert. After meeting with 4 painters I could tell Robert was the person for the job!

We hired Robert to paint the exterior of our wood siding house. He promised the project would be done timely and with a large crew but after paying him a $2,500 deposit, everything changed. He barely showed up and had no crew. He was unresponsive and unreliable. The little work he did was sloppy and caused damage to my wood trim and siding. After breaking a window with his ladder, he refused to cover the cost and flew into a rage requiring me to call the police to escort him off the property. He then sent inappropriate and threatening text messages in the middle of the night. I would avoid Robert at all costs. I am filing a lawsuit to recover my damages.
