Woods Family Heating & Air Conditioning

Bought a new Woods Family heat pump about 7 years ago. It's working great, no problems . That was our 2nd one from Woods. . The original unit lasted a very, very long time and was serviced bi-annually. Had no problems with it whatsoever . I always get the twice yearly service plan. Someone from their home office will call and make an appointment at your convenience. I really like their service window of arrival time: it's only 2 hours so you don't have to sit at home all day waiting and wondering when they're going to show up. The technician will call you that very day and confirm his arrival time . They are prompt and efficient and effective. They keep a record of their visits right on the interior air handler so you can see the name of the last technician who came and the date. I am h

Im reluctant to leave reviews. But this is the exception. Before this record cold snap I bought a house. Had the propane company inspect the HVAC unit, then hired an all inclusive mechanical to inspect and assess the function. Told me all was good. Cold snap hit and it wouldn't go into emergency heat. Called the company back and they said a door was loose, called them back next day because it still wouldn't work. Then they said heat exchanger was bad without running CO test. Quoted over 10k to replace the whole system. I asked why the whole system when the coil was 2022 and the outside was 2022. The guy said we'll, it will just be 7500 then.... I called Woods. Woods is a great company in my humble opinion. They have always been on time for me and the tech today, Steven McClelland was great. Very polite, respectful and explained what was causing the issue. All was fixed promptly and left everything as clean as when he got here. I do recommend Woods highly.

We can’t say enough great things about Woods. Great service guys. Very reliable and honest. We had just had our system serviced several weeks ago all was well. Then just our luck the A/C stopped working. The guys came back out again and was able to repair it quickly. So thankful for these guys and company for being available. You can’t go wrong with Woods!

My brother and I inherited my grandparents house in Salem and the real estate people were showing it and noticed it. Furnace was blowing cold air. We called Woods to come out. They were there the next day a technician named Stephen McClelland came out, diagnosed the problems and fixed it for a very reasonable price. It is reassuring to have professionals like this man because me and my brother both do not live in Virginia any longer and in all reality they could’ve told us we needed a whole new unit it’s nice to know that there are still honest people out there working.
