50Floor: Austin Carpet, Wood and Flooring Installation

We absolutely loved the work that 50 floor did for us on 7/3! We had all the carpets removed from 3 bedrooms and 3 closets. They made sure that everything was perfect from start to finish. Initially I had a small billing error (no big deal) and they were so quick to fix it and make it right. They kept me up to date daily on the status of when my materials would arrive for the install date. The installation crew took from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and we didn’t have to lift a finger. They moved all the furniture for us, they were super nice and kept all of our belongings clean during the install, since some of our floors concrete had to be sanded down. We are very unhappy with our 50 floor experience and would not recommend them to anyone. From the start, they inflate prices tremendously and use a gimmicky 50% off offer to make you think you’re getting a deal. Color options are limited, especially for off white and neutral shades. The week of the scheduled installation, I didn’t hear a peep from anyone, and had to call multiple times the day before in order to confirm they were coming. Then on the day of installation, they were super late, and they didn’t call ahead either to let us know they were coming or to let us know they were running behind. I wanted to wait until the very end for the review so I can talk about all area's of service. My wife and I can't be more thrilled with our new floors. 50 Floor did our carpets and hard floors using the Luxury Vinyl Planks to give us that old world feel we were looking for. We got the white carpet with a detailed pattern that looks stunning. The carpet is by Dream Weaver and does not stain even with our dog. We had a paint can accident in our hallway where the new carpet was ruined by the red paint. 50 Floors came right out and replaced it for us for a reasonable charge. Now you it looks like the accident never happened. Also the heavy paint spill were the can split open never got through the carpet to the pad!! I was shocked!! We were excited to have our new floors installed by 50 Floor, but the experience has been disappointing. The installation was handled carelessly—our furniture was roughly moved, baseboards were stretched, and putty was inconsistently applied. After installation, we found excessive dirt, grease, and residue throughout our Master Bedroom and Living Room. When we requested professional cleaning, we were only offered a $75 reimbursement, which is inadequate. Additionally, issues like scratches and lifting thresholds remain unresolved. Despite being told Supervisor Romeo would follow up, it has now been three weeks with no communication. We chose 50 Floor for a professional, high-quality experience, but that is not what we received. We expect prompt action to address these ongoing concerns.

On the day of the scheduled installation, we were supposed to get a call between 8-10 am with an arrival time. We were never called and eventually called them to inquire about an eta. They arrived at 4 pm and had the wrong carpet. When we called the company, we were put on hold twice and then were told the issue would be escalated. It's hard to get much resolved at 5 pm so while the managers tried to sort it out, the installers drove away and wouldnt come back. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. We were lured in by convenience but it was a horrible experience.
