A-Adkins Heating & Air Conditioning

A few weeks ago our 6+ year Carrier system experienced a lockout event on a Sunday causing the furnace to shut down. I was able to recycle the system and get it going and then I reached out to my HVAC company - also beginning with the letter “A” - who I’ve had a service contract with for over 30 years. The tech arrived and diagnosed a faulty inducer motor. The part was under warranty but he gave a quote for $1900 in labor. He even went as far as to say we should consider a new furnace at over $7k. That sounded really high. At the recommendation of a neighbor, we reached out to A-Adkins and their quote for labor was 25% of my so called trusted vendor. Nathan Annis, the owner came out and provided his thoughts on what we were looking to do. It was slightly different than another company who quoted out the work, but it made a lot of sense, and he clearly explained why. We had them install a mini split system for an apartment area on our home, and they did a fantastic job. Nathan and his team installed a mini split to heat and cool our previously without climate control sunroom. They communicated well and made sure that we had the electrician run the needed lines, arrived on-time, were thoughtful in where and how they installed the unit, sending pictures to make sure I approved of everything.
