A Cut Above Carpentry

Marty and Marcy make an excellent team. Marcy efficiently handles all the office tasks, while Marty specializes in professional handyman work. We have hired them three times, and each time, the job was completed quickly, cleanly, and to a high standard. We are planning to hire them next for a large window replacement project. They should be your go-to pros.

Last year we met and contracted A Cut Above Carpentry to do a full kitchen remodel. (Their estimate and timeline were very reasonable.) Because of delays in appliance deliveries (ordered by us not the contractor), we had to reschedule 3 times. A Cut Above was understanding and accommodating. When our project finally began, we quickly saw we had made the right choice. Marcie, the office manager, was professional, fantastic at communicating all steps, costs and information on the remodel and just checking in on the progress. Marty, the contractor, was committed as much to our vision as we were. He was prompt, efficient, pleasant and generous with information, questions and suggestions. His work is excellent and you can see his skill and experience everywhere. It can always be a challenge

Our old bathroom door fell off its hinges, it was such a small repair but of course we wanted it done quickly, and A Cut Above Carpentry was very prompt, friendly, and professional. Marty said it probably wouldn't take up the hour minimum and asked if there was anything else he could do for us, so he ended up fixing up one of the other doors a bit as well with no extra charges even though it did end up taking a bit more than an hour. I also really appreciated the 10% discount for disabled customers--very kind of him, since if my partner wasn't disabled he'd be doing all these small repairs himself. The office manager Marcy also seems super nice. I'm glad to have someone in town I can call for stuff in the future.

We've been using ACAC for many projects, big and small, for going on twenty years. Marty is the best! Very knowledgeable, personable and easy to work with. A perfectionist, he never considers a job complete until it's perfect. Honest, reasonable, reliable and friendly.

We had an emergency repair when our roof began leaking during a storm. We called and they came to look at it that same day. The estimate they gave me was detailed and explained everything that they would do to fix the problem. I set an appointment for the repairs and thankfully they called the day before to remind me (I had forgotten they were scheduled to come out). They were able to schedule me for a time that worked with my busy schedule, and were friendly when I changed my appointment - twice. They made me feel like I was their only customer (and I know I'm not because I see their trucks everywhere in my neighborhood).
