Above Roofing

Above Roofing recently installed a new roof on my house. They showed up early in the morning (a little after 7:00 a.m.), they laid out tarps covering the area directly around the house, to catch any debris that fell. About mid-morning they informed me that the roof would need to be re-sheathed due to the material that was previously used. This did cost more but they did not add any labor charge with installing the new roof, and it provided me with a solid roof. This is something that the people who put on the previous roof did not do, and which should have been done. They did not finish the first day, as they had thought they would, but they did have people working until 9:00 p.m. that night. That is dedication. Ross, Elliot, Alex all did a fantastic job on our sky lights. We previously hired a different company to do our sky lights and it was a disaster. Above roofing came in and fixed all the previous mistakes, installed the windows correctly and stopped the leaking. Thank you for sending us your professionals!

Edit: I do understand that we are in Michigan and we get snow and ice and no roofer will cover damage due to that. It’s the fact that you guys “are happy” to give me a quote, to install something that could have been installed to begin with, that I have an issue with. Why, if it could help or maybe not, was it not installed or maybe come up with a plan to block the area. I was already paying over $20k, I would’ve been happy to pay to have anything installed that gave me a good working roof. However, that is not what I got. Even with the issue we had with our 1997 roof, it was not as bad as this 8 month roof. I wish I had a good review like a lot of these people do, because the crew was very nice. Above Roofing did a 5-Star job on our gutters for a fair price. Very satisfied, and grateful that their owner was willing to work with us on a minor billing issue. Highly recommend this company for your roofing needs!

Above roofing was fantastic to work with from the initial estimate up to the final installation. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and responsive. They even made a note to clean up perfectly because we have a dog - which they did a great job on! The job was done quick and thoroughly. Our house is almost 100 years so it was a big job but it did not scare them!
