Albert Lea Electric

Albert Lea Electric employee was extremely rude, he blocked my driveway because the landlord nextdoor (Donald) told him it was ok because we don't own the house. Little do other landlords know that as long as you pay rent, that dwelling and the land with it is considered yours until you stop paying rent or move! So the Albert Lea Electric employee when asked should have moved his van because it is illegal to block someone's driveway. But instead of moving we got the finger and got laughed at. I sure hope his boss reads this and understands how irritating it is to have someone block your driveway for over 30 minutes while two guys make fun of you and laugh at you! Doesn't make Albert Lea Electric look very professional!

Would be a 5 star if it wasn’t so hard to schedule an appointment. Took me a week to get a quote, and another week to schedule the work, was told I would be called right back several times but had to call back myself the next day. That being said the guy that did the installation was punctual, polite, professional, and did quality work in a timely manner. 5 star for the work, 3 star for the admin, 4 overall.

Amazing company to deal with. Can’t say enough good about them from how smooth the estimating to install went. Very detailed and professional with excellent customer service. Albert Lea Electric Co will always be our first call!

Update: The day I posted this 1-star review, I received a text to make an appointment for the following day. This time, Andrew, a different person than my earlier contact, showed up and did the job quickly. He was in and out in about 20 minutes. I have upped it to a 2-star review. I called to have a light fixture and a switch replaced. They said they would give me a call that week and have someone come out. Nothing happened. I called the next week and received the same response. Only difference was that an electrician called on Tuesday, said he would be out Wednesday. Never showed up, never called. Very disappointed that after waiting 2 weeks for service, I am now having to call around to find someone else.

It took them a week to let me know they couldn't do the job because they’re busy, when they could have mentioned that right from the start. It's very unprofessional, and I had to follow up multiple times only for them to drop us like that.
