Arena Fencing Academy

While I understand that not every club might be the right fit for every fencer, no objective person could give this club or the coaches one star. In my opinion, the one star review seems unfair to the club and the coaches. The kids love it here. Most if not all the kids here are genuine friends and love training here because of the positive atmosphere. And the new facility is beautiful with gym equipment, tons of strips and a little study room for the kids. My son has been involved with Arena Fencing Academy for several years now, and I can't recommend it enough! The coaches are truly exceptional and really shows their dedication to each student. They don’t just teach fencing but help them understand the mental aspect of the sport as well. The families are so close-knit and supportive of one another. My daughter has grown so much from the past year. The coaches are very knowledgeable and have taught her so much. They provide amazing coaching and support at tournaments as well! They are always there with her from the hardest defeat to the best victory! Also, the training area is well kept with a fully equipped gym!, changing rooms, a comfortable sitting area for parents, and even a study room for the kids. We’ve been with Arena Fencing Club for over 3 years, and it’s been amazing to watch my kids grow both in the sport and as individuals. What sets Arena apart is the coaches’ willingness to listen to families, nurture real connections, and constantly strive to improve. They care deeply about every fencer, tailoring their approach to each child’s strengths and weaknesses. Coach Maks and Coach Nastia go above and beyond to support families, while Coach Connor is fantastic too, offering great training, tips, and energy. The new, larger facility is fantastic, with plenty of strips, TV monitors for parents, and a workout area. Arena also has a wonderful community. My kids love their fencing friends, and it truly feels like our second family. We couldn’t be happier!
