We came back to Beckman Builders because of the quality of the work and the people we worked with on that project. This time they updated our kitchen, office area and first floor bathroom. In my personal experience, working with Beckman Builders and its owner, Karl Beckman, was incredibly disappointing. We hired Beckman Builders for a major renovation on our 111 year old home starting May 2024. The project was finished in September 2025, far beyond the original six week estimate. During the work we experienced repeated communication breakdowns and persistent scheduling problems. For nearly six weeks our house was left unwrapped during a very wet spring, which allowed rain to enter the dining room ceiling and saturated blown in insulation. In winter, we observed gaps in insulation around many new windows along with doors that iced up. We’ve hired Beckman Builders for multiple projects now because we genuinely like working with them and they consistently do excellent work. The quality they deliver is always top notch, which is why we keep coming back. On this project, their supporting staff was great to work with and did a nice job coming up with solutions as things came up along the way. Communication was strong throughout, the job site was kept clean, and their ability to match the new work with our existing finishes was impressive. Everything blended in seamlessly.
