BELFOR Property Restoration (Philadelphia)

There was a Flood in our basement. The People that came out were great. Since then dealing with Caitlin Thomas has been terrible. She is rude, lazy and incompetent. She was given the contact information for our insurance adjuster on multiple occasions I would not use them again simply because she is such a disaster.

This company obviously doesn't train their employees how to PROPERLY AND SAFELY PARK THEIR VEHICLES and I was just almost hit head on because of it with my 5-year-old daughter in the car. Two Belfor vans are parked near my home in Lumberton, NJ on an extremely narrow street right at the corner where there is a blind spot for people turning onto the street. I was coming up the street where they are parked and had no room to get over onto my lane at the red light and another vehicle was making a left into the lane and could not see me. I had to blow my horn and the car just barely braked in time. As you can see in the picture I took after coming back the other way, their employee is still just sitting in the back of the vehicle EATING INSTEAD OF MOVING THE VEHICLE TO A SAFER LOCATION AFTER A

They are terrible. No communication. We are now heading into month number 5 of our insurance claim. Nationwide insurance recommended Belfor, so we went with them to manage our repairs. Our claim was August 8th and tomorrow is November 29th, no where near completion. Update: I updated to 3 stars because the work was finally completed just before Christmas. They did do a good job of workmanship and follow up of small items that needed attention. However, there was some some back and forth on the invoice. Finally came to an agreement a couple of weeks ago. We received a notice from their headquarters that they were going to put a lien on our house if we did not overnight payment to them that day. Incredible.

My house was flooded few years ago. We were unfortunately not in US. We had to use Belfor to pack our belongings before we can get back. I found out later that several personal items were stolen. If it was some clothings were missing I would have thought the flood must have been damaged clothes so they threw them out. But things that were missing were Jewelry. Each were several hundreds worth. I can't believe they would steal things from a customer. Do not trust this company. oh yeah and they charge you ridiculous amount of money and jobs were horribly done. Some of the boxes were completely moldy inside. They charged me for cleaning items before boxing.

We had an incident at work and Belfor responded within minutes. The work crew was there within the hour and completed the job of clean up that day. The continued until they restored our office back to normal. Very respectful crews at all the stages from cleaning to restoration.
