Berger Allied Moving & Storage

Don’t use this company. I scheduled a move from Illinois to Missouri. Colleen came and did a walk through, Marie had called me multiple times so I assumed they would communicate to the crew. On the day of the move, the driver pulled down the overhead electric line to my neighbors house when backing up the truck. This triggered police, fire department and ComEd to respond. Delayed my move for 2 hours. One of the moving crew was incredibly rude and acted as though the level of the line was my responsibility, he also had no idea what the move entailed. Jordan, the used car salesman, came to “save” the day”. The crew was unprepared, I had to pack my car full of couch/chair pillows, lamp shades, etc. “we don’t have anything to pack these”. I moved from California to Chicago! Worst decision to use them. The loading in California was really good with experienced movers. Got to chicago and delivery was horrible. Inexperienced movers. Missing parts and my kids bed frame missing most of the screws for the bed. Dents and scratches all over my new home. Customer service also lacking. I spoke to Marie multiple times and she seems she is always lost. I had to be on top of her for pick up date, delivery date etc etc. only calls I would get is for payment! I used Allied before but this experience was not the best. I just submitted claims so let’s see how this goes.

I would have left 0 stars! I ordered a custom lift chair from Rock Wish Relaxation for $3600.00 and also purchased the white glove delivery for $275.00 WHAT A JOKE! Two guys show up and one doesn’t even speak English and the other barely speaks English and didn’t understand much either! They brought the chair in to set up and neither had a clue how to connect the several cables or how to run them so they don’t get pinched or damaged! While the one guy was trying to connect the cables he was pulling them that’s when I had to stop him, I had to try and explain that the backrest has to be installed first then the wires will reach to connect! I even had to stop him from almost cutting cables that were secured by cable ties that were releasable he was going to use a razor knife, really stupid!

This warehouse is not in a sequential order. I arrived earlier than others, but they left earlier than me. I need to wait for several hours to unload the goods. The service attitude was average. When I asked how long I would have to wait for the unloading to be completed, he said that there were only two of them and they would have to unload the goods

I had an issue with Berger Allied regarding a move. The issue was resolved in an expedient and highly professional manner. I was amazed at the level of service and attention to detail by the moving team and representative of the company. Management went above and beyond with taking care of the issue. Hats off to Berger Allied. I could not recommend them highly enough!
