Blackwater Designer Concrete

Blackwater Designer did a really nice job with my concrete stamp. Additionally Blackwater added a sidewalk with stamped concrete. Very professional crew, Jim answered all my questions as project was on going.

After getting several estimates on a stamped concrete patio, I decided to move forward with Blackwater Designer Concrete because they could get to my project quicker than the others. I was originally given an assurance of the job being started in July, but that didn't come to pass and I expressed my disappointment and frustration. I was immediately contacted by the salesperson, Jason. After talking things over, he "made things right" by me. Within the week, there was a crew at my home laboring in the hot August sun. From the prep work, to the concrete pour, to the stamping, staining and sealing -- everything that was done was done with precision, professionalism and perfection. We had a stamped concrete patio installed last fall and it looked great. We were super pleased with service, the people, and the result. Then, over the winter, the bad weather eroded the surface in several areas, exposing the material underneath. In February, I reached out to our sales contact, Jim, and he was responsive (at first). They did send someone to repair it, and while he touched up some spots, he left the biggest and most obvious spots untouched. I don't know why. We have been going back and forth with them since and while they seem responsive and promise to follow up, they don't and we have seen no action. If we don't see progress shortly, I will end up patching it myself and I will revise this review to reflect that.

Beware!!! After less than 2 years my stamped concrete patio started coming apart. It developed divets in the concrete to the point where you could actually see the rocks. Please look closely at the photos I provided. When I asked them to fix it their answer was “ It’s not really possible to fill them in as it won’t match and it will also flake off. The best option is to color those areas to blend it in and reseal it. Which is what we did.” Needless to say I didn’t agree with this solution. Looks like crap! Highly disappointed and would NOT recommend.

Blackwater did an awesome job on our patio, we couldn't be happier with it. Jim was really great to work with and the team was professional and worked quickly. Would definitely recommend!
