Central Asphalt is NOT a pleasant neighbor to have here in Mt Pleasant! Both the noise and stench are substantial and affect our entire neighborhood, about 1 mile northeast. You can hear and smell them as well through most of Chipp-A-Waters park, so we don't walk there anymore. It's bad enough to give you a headache and make you cough. Hot mix asphalt production produces pollutants including particulate matter, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, volatile organic compounds, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and asphalt fume. We can't enjoy our yard or open our windows for fresh air when they're operational, and they're open 6 days a week. Their trucks leave the plant and travel north on Bradley, spewing the stench along the entire neighborhood from Remus to Pickard St. We hop

We had our rather large residential driveway paved by Central Asphalt and they by far exceeded our expectations! Anyone we communicated with while planning the project was knowledgeable & professional, and the onsite crew was very friendly & helpful, too. We are SO happy with the finished project and the service we received!

Good material and equipment, but the crew was abusive, used strong and foul language, and unresponsive to service requests while on-site. There are better contractors out there.

I could not believe the way one of their workers spoke to me. Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Do not recommend.
