We were with CenturyLink for YEARS and finally got tired of their slow speeds. We cancelled our service two days into our billing cycle and they charged us for the full month. Tried calling them but after wait over 40 minutes to be connected to someone we gave up. Got on the chat and they told us there's nothing they can do about it. Worst company ever. Go with Starlink!
I was always having problems (lagging internet, days with no service at all so I closed my account. I keep getting billed every month. The router that they said was too old to return they now say they want it back and I owe for it plus the monthly billing. They have terrible customer service and the communication they have between their billing department and their deactivation people is laughable. I shut their service off day that I got Verizon. Have not had one problem with Verizon.
When this company doesn't send you an email Bill or a bill in your mailbox. You're supposed to guess how much you owe. And they don't have the common courtesy to get ahold of you and let you know your bill is delinquent. And then charge you late fee after late fee. 23 years of being a customer to CenturyLink and they treat me horribly.
They are extremely vague about service issues. Internet has been out in my area for 24 hours now. All day it said they'd have it back up by 6PM. No other updates. Then at 6, they update to say it'll be back TOMORROW by 6PM. No other info, so I highly doubt this is accurate, just an auto push out another 24 hours. I work remotely and rely on internet to do my job. As soon as there is another option for internet where I live, I'm switching because I need more reliability and information when there are issues.
DO NOT BOTHER!! IT WILL COST YOU MONEY & NO INTERNET WILL BE PROVIDED. It took 2 weeks to receive my modem. When it was received, there were connection errors on my end. I attempted for two days to reach someone other than through a chat feature to explain the situation. That never happened! I was only able to chat/text and at the end of it all I was only scheduled for a technician to come to my house to see the concerns which was a whole 10 additional days… 6/27/23, so just shy of 3 weeks from the initial request for services and I’m still without Internet. Can’t imagine how service would be if I can’t even get service set up in the first place… OHHH & IM STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR MY INITIATION FEE TO INCLUDE OTHER FEES FOR CANCELING SERVICE I NEVER HAD OR WAS EVER ABLE TO RECEIV
