Church Street Garage

Frederick's first public parking garage located at the center of downtown. There is one front and one rear entrance and only one exit at the front onto Church Street. The garage interior is one direction driving since this is an older smaller garage. This garage has free public restrooms that are open 9 AM to 10 PM. The parking rate is $1.00 per hour unless there is a special event such as In The Streets which had a flat rate of $10.00 for the whole day. Signs are clearly posted when there is a flat rate day. Certain times during the holidays the gates are open for free parking. Also, at this garage only, each Sunday morning the gates are open for free parking to accommodate the downtown churches. Church Street Garage is located off of E Church Street. Close to the one of the main thoroughfares of great stores and restaurants in downtown Frederick. Inexpensive (cost me $3 for the night) for parking. Can be crowded given its location. We came on a Saturday night and it was nearly full, but able to find a space. They have pay stations before you go back to your car, and I highly recommend you do it, so you don’t hold up the line of people trying to exit. I typically like to bring a few singles with me to pay just so I don’t have to use my credit card. Stairs and elevators are available.

I stopped in town on 6/15 while traveling with my significant other. Shortly after leaving I was notified that my tire was low. I don't blame the parking garage but the low life type of people that had the compulsion to drive a nail into my tire for seemingly no reason. The parking was tight so I assume the blue hyundai to my left was the culprit. I also don't have any stickers that could've been hurtful and I don't drive a Tesla. So I'm very confused about the motive this person may have had. The town was lovely but has left a foul mouth after this.

This parking garage was a complete mess. It was already full, but they kept letting more cars in anyway. I spent 30 minutes in gridlock circling every level looking for a spot that didn't exist, only to end up having to pay a dollar just to leave! Terrible management and a total waste of time, avoid if you can on a weekend night.

What you would expect from a parking garage. The entrance threw me off a little because you enter on the left. Other than that it was good. Parking was free because it was a weekend day.
