Closets by Design - Northwest Connecticut

Very pleased with the entire process. Design was simple but exactly what I was looking for/needed. Wanted to make a color change and they were more than willing to do so (obviously well before the install date). When installation day came, the installers (Ron and Aaron) called ahead and let me know their ETA. Once there, they were both polite, professional and efficient. They installed a quality product quickly. Both were excellent. So far, so good, as the closet system I had installed looks great and appears to be solid. I would use Closets by Design (NW CT) again.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with this closet installation company was so frustrating that I feel it’s important to warn others. From start to finish, the service was completely unprofessional. The very first installer failed to show up at our scheduled appointment, this should have been a warning sign. 2nd installer shows up and had a positive experience with her, though it took it hours. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company for a closet installation. From the very beginning, communication and professionalism were a major issue. Before agreeing to the sale, I made it very clear to the sales representative that I had a firm deadline for installation. Custom Interior & Design helped us with the majority of our finishes in our new build home, which was a HUGE job. They did all the trim work throughout the house, the kitchen cabinets, a mud room built-in, our master closet cabinets/shelving, cabinet/counter in our laundry room, the treads/spindles/railing for our main staircase and a smaller portion of our downstairs staircase, 4 bathroom vanities, all tile work for 4 bathrooms including showers, and all countertops for the kitchen and 4 bathrooms. We had a great experience with the designer and installers. They showed up on time and were very professional. The designer asked what our needs are and created a master closet that accommodated those needs. The installers explained the process and asked questions about aesthetics to make sure we would be happy with the finished product. They covered our floors and carpets to protect them and cleaned up before they left. I would recommend Closets by Design to friends and family based on our experience.
