In my 35+ years as a professional interior designer I’ve worked with numerous builders and been involved in many new construction projects. We are very pleased with our beautiful home. The owner, Tomas Nyblom, offered us a 1 acre wooded lot adjacent to Waterford at Roper Mountain. Working with their preferred partners made the selection process easy. We appreciated the use of quality materials and finish-out. Our cabinetry was fabricated by Blom Design Studio. Although there were a few issues, all were rectified prior to us taking possession. I built a new custom home with Cobblestone and Blom Design Studio (their in-house architecture firm) in the Pinelands neighborhood in TR. I started the project during COVID and while there were multiple delays thanks to Covid and supply chain issues, Cobblestone built me a beautiful new home in a little over a year. Cobblestone Homes was my custom home builder and my home in downtown Greenville home was completed in October 2021. I am a real estate broker in Greenville and I have personally had 6 homes built in the last 14 years and many more with my clients. At the very beginning of framing, covid hit us all! I was very nervous about how Cobblestone Homes would address the sudden and tremendous increase in building supplies. I was not in a position to shoulder an increase to my contract price. Cobblestone Homes never even mentioned the possibility of the price increasing. I was truly blessed beyond measure! We moved into our house 20 months ago and continue to have issues not addressed and a pool not finished after 20 months. The owner (Thomas) does not get back to you when we reach out. 6 months ago, we finally had a sit down with Thomas and were promised action. Since that date, we have been staring at an algae filled pool that does not work. Several attempts have been made to correct the issues, but failed. We have a leaky roof that is being fixed for the 4th or 5th time. At some point, I would like to live in this home at peace. Instead, we constantly have construction workers fixing the same issues over and over again with little regard to timelines.
